DOAB Strategic Plan 2025 – 2028
DOAB is a not-for-profit foundation (Stichting) governed by Dutch Law (it cannot be sold or acquired) since 2019. It was created as a project by OAPEN in 2012 but since 2019 co-managed and co-governed by OpenEdition and OAPEN. DOAB relies on contributions from research institutions, funders, and publishers to carry out its mission. DOAB is guided by the Principles of Open Scholarly Infrastructure (POSI self-audit).
DOAB’s mission is to curate a global, open, and trusted index of open scholarly books.
