This applies to works that meet any of the following conditions: The author died before 1 January 1946, and the work was protected under the 1963 law, which granted protection for 50 years post mortem auctoris (p.m.a.). The work is anonymous or pseudonymous and was published before 1 January 1946 (50 years from publication). The work is a collaborative work, and the last surviving author died before 1 January 1946. The work was subject to the 1928 law but failed to meet mandatory registration and deposit requirements within three years of publication and was published in 1960 or earlier.
