Public domain This work was first published in Venezuela and is in the public domain in Venezuela because its copyright protection has expired under the terms of previous Venezuelan copyright laws, namely the 1963 and 1928 statutes, which were superseded by the Venezuelan Law on Copyright of 14 August 1993. This work is also in the public domain in the United States because it was in the public domain in Venezuela on the URAA date (1 January 1996).

This applies to works that meet any of the following conditions:

  • The author died before 1 January 1946, and the work was protected under the 1963 law, which granted protection for 50 years post mortem auctoris (p.m.a.).
